Our Mission

At The Simba Trust, our mission is simple: to unlock opportunity for underserved children in Kenya by removing financial barriers to education. By providing uniforms, books, and direct grants, we empower tomorrow's leaders to pursue their dreams, starting today.

Why We Exist

In Kenya, poverty determines education, but it doesn't have to.

In Kenya, primary education is technically "free." But families still can't afford it.

A uniform costs $20. Textbooks cost more. Shoes are required. Transportation takes hours. A child needs it all. When a family chooses between rent and school, education loses. Over 1.2 million children in Kenya are out of school, not because they can't learn, but because their families can't afford to let them go.

For girls in pastoral communities, it's worse. Early marriage, cultural traditions, and distance combine to create an impossible choice. Barely 1 in 5 Maasai girls who start school finish it. Their talent, ambition, and potential are never realized.

But it doesn't have to be this way. When a child has a uniform, textbooks, and their fees covered, they come to school. Research proves it. They stay. They learn. They transform not just their own future, but their family's, their community's, and their nation's.

That's why The Simba Trust exists. Not to give charity. To break barriers. To say: Your poverty won't determine your future.

What We Do

Our Key Programs

Books for Bright Futures - Delivers age-appropriate, culturally relevant textbooks straight to classrooms in need.

Uniforms for Growth - Ensures every child attends school with pride and dignity—because how you show up matters.

Education Access Grants - Provides targeted scholarships to high-potential students who would otherwise be left behind.
